Male hair removal

topic posted Thu, August 16, 2007 - 6:13 PM by
So, my former Dom used to talk about having me wax his nether portions, but we never got around to it. Now, I have a male friend who is interested in trying this. I've given myself a Brazilian before, although I go to a salon these days because, well, it's just easier to have someone do it for you. But I think it would be interesting to try waxing as a service, and I think he might enjoy it, although neither of us is entirely sure. So . . . have any of you ever done this for a gentleman? His pain tolerance is good, and while I've never waxed those particular parts, I am pretty knowledgeable about how to wax (pulling the skin tight, waxing against the direction of hair growth, pulling it off quickly, etc.) I think it would make sense to use the kind of wax you heat rather than the cold wax strips, just because of the density of hair. And, yes, be very careful! Would you trim first? Um, what else am I forgetting?

I don't know about waxing, but one service kelly provides me is shaving my parts and I love it.

I would think the longer the hair the eaiser it is for the wax to hold on. I know I have to wait til my hair is certain lenght before I go to the salon. Too short and the wax doesn' t grab it.
What an interesting service. Please let us know how it turns out
I'm not a pain person so I've found that breathing and relaxing helps a lot. At first she didn't know what I was doing . But she says I am easy to do because I don't tense.

can i add a bit to this query? i have a male friend who has some very stubborn back hair - it's been waxed, shaved, and even set on fire, and it doesn't disappear.

anyone have experience with this type of hair and in removing it? do you think electrolysis would be the last resort?

        thanks!

When I was in Los Angeles, I went over to a UCLA hair removal laser clinic and they wanted over $3,000 to do my back, so guess I will have to hit the lottery.

i'm not all that sure electrolyis would work. i always thought it was pretty permanent and then after discussing eyebrow waxing with my mom she said she has electrolysis on hers...i asked when she started doing that...oh..9 years ago. Heck..i'll stick with the wax then.

i wonder if something like Nair works. My gay hairdressers uses that on himself...must do something.

          oh..and hi..kelly here..slave to MasterM...guess i haven't said my hellos yet.

with all due respect....you really don't want to use Nair. It has a nasty propensity to burn skin...no matter how careful you are with it.
All I have to do is say Nair....and my submissive starts shaking. Nasty stuff!
Do consider sugaring - alot like waxing. We've done Brazilians with the sugaring stuff...works pretty well!

electro should be a last resort. It takes ~3 zaps per follicle. That's lots of time and LOTS of pain. Laser works if he is light skinned with dark hair. Hard to say how expensive it is without knowing hair type and how hairy he is. But he could do a consult.

A guy at my work had his back hair removed by laser and he was thrilled with the result, but he was a perfect candidate--light skin, dark hair. We weren't close enough for me to know how hairy he was or how much he paid, but he was a sort or furry guy in general, so I imagine it was a fair bit. I do keep thinking about the Brazilian laser as a present to myself but it will be expensive (darn those Eastern European Jewish genes...)

BTW, Haven't tried waxing with the new play partner yet . . . we've been distracted with too many other fun things. Maybe one of these days . . .

Hard wax can get hair that is quite short. If the hair is too long it hurts alot more. Soft wax requires hair that's longer, but still too long is more painful.

For 90% of my hair it works good, thinner and easier to remove the next time around. Cold waxing is fine and cheap and less of a mess but it can really irritate sensitive skin.

Do not use soft wax on his penis or balls, you will seriously hurt him. Hard wax is fine to use, but if you're not used to doing it, it'll still hurt really bad until you get the hang of it.

Once you get the hang of it you'll do just fine.

Not quite getting the had wax vs. soft wax distinction. I am familiar w/ cold wax vs. hot wax. Same thing phrased differently? If so, I assume soft = cold as it's soft at room temperature. How on earth is this likely to be more painful? I use it myself for my sensitive bits and it's less "grabby" than hot wax (and hence less effective, but that's a whole 'nother, er, ball of wax).

Am I misunderstanding your distinction? We're figuring to use Emla cream for numbing, and to proceed with caution. I've been waxing myself and being professionally waxed for some time, so I do know the basics. But curious about your warning as I'm obviously missing some nuances of terminology here . . .

        Hi Anathema,

Glad to discuss this topic with you. These terms seem to be very localized, and seem to differ alot from region to region. As I presume you do, I use the terms I became familiar with during my experiences, and they may or may not include some of the same products/procedures you are familiar with.

I'll do my best to describe what I'm talking about, hopefully to help you decide if the products you are familiar with are the same, or at least similar.

Cold Wax: I've heard the term alot, never encountered the product. Don't know exactly what it is.

Soft Wax: Hot, applied with something that I conisder to be very similar to a tongue depressor in a doctors office. Usually removed with cloth strips. After being removed, strip is discarded and new one is used.

Hard Wax: Hot, applied with something that I consider to be very similar to a tongue depressor. Removed with the fingers by grabbing the end of the section applied and pulling on it. No strips are used. After wax is removed it's discarded and new wax is used.

Sugar: Room temperature. Normally looks like a ball of ear wax, lol. It's applied by the hands to the body, and yanked off. The ball is used over and over until it's completely full of hair and unable to "grab" any more hair. At that time a new "ball" is pulled out of the container and is used.

The only place I've ever encountered Sugar was in Texas. I've never seen it used in California. When I've tried to find someone who uses sugar in California, they never know what I'm talking about and always think I'm talking about hard wax, which I am not.

The girl I see now for my waxing needs uses hard wax. It's dark brown, very hot, and goes on just like soft wax, only no strips are used to remove it. Another esthetician in that spa swears I don't know what I'm talking about when I say hard wax is not the same thing as sugaring. She seems to think that because I'm not an esthetician I don't know what I'm talking about, lol.

In my opinion, sugaring is the best method, in terms of ease of hair removal, least amount of pain, amount of hair that grows back, the amount of time the hair is gone, etc. Because it's a superior product to wax, It normally costs more than waxing.

My second favorite is hard wax. My least favorite is soft wax.

        I hope this helps.

i also want to remind you guys that very long hair needs to be trimmed a bit. Otherwise it will break before the roots come out. The best length seems to be about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. (ask at the salons) Also, with lasering and electrolysis you need to remember that only 1/3 of our hair follicles are active at any given time, so there is always regrowth afterward and repeat visits are necessary.

Very good points Pandora. It also hurts a hell of alot more if the hair is too long. It hurts really bad, lol.

I usually don't have to worry about that because I try hard to eihter get sugar or hard wax, which allows the ethetician to get at the hair shorter than with soft wax, and I usually go in every 3 or 4 weeks, so the hair is always very short because I go in so frequently :)

Cool, thanks, very helpful. I have used hard wax, but have not seen it in ages, it seems to have fallen out of favor, at least in the lower-level "drugstore" hair-removal areas. We used soft wax with strips and it was okay, but he really is quite furry, and his stamina wore out partway through, so now he's only partly smooth (I didn't have as much Emla left as I'd thought, so he was only partly numbed. Need to reup. Oops!) I'll look further for the hard wax now that I recall it. I think my mom used to use it back in the '70s . . .

I like tying up a guy and shaving him clean.

I think it's sexy how hard their cock gets.

And then I love to hear them beg for me to do more.
